Why a small ruleset costs more
Fewer players means fewer people farming, and the gold that exists is spread thin. On the big marketplaces RP listings also come from fewer sellers, so there is less competition pulling the price down.
What RP gold is spent on
Less on raid consumables, more on what a character wears and carries: tabards, cosmetic gear, bags, mounts, and the everyday costs of a guild that meets to play a story rather than to clear a raid.
Questions about RP gold
Can I buy Normal gold and use it on Roleplay?
No. Each ruleset is a separate world and gold stays where it was earned. Normal may be cheaper, but only a character on Normal can spend it.
Will RP gold get cheaper after launch?
Possibly, as more players arrive and start farming. We do not forecast it; the price table is read daily, so any change shows there first.
Do French, German and Spanish roleplayers get their own world?
Not a separate world, but a way to find each other. The Preferred Online Language setting works inside every ruleset, so players who chose the same language are placed together more often.
